Meet your doula
Hi! I’m Megan. I began serving new and growing families in the bay area in 2006. Since then, I’ve worked in the fields of childbirth education, lactation education, midwifery, and doula services. I’m excited to be focusing on postpartum care in this stage of my career. I’ve always loved working with postpartum families, and I still remember how much it meant to me to be supported in my early motherhood while I was feeling exhausted and vulnerable alongside proud and in love. I have experience working with a wide variety of families including those with LGBTQIA+ parents, single parents, polyamorous structures, twins, and families of myriad cultural and religious backgrounds. If you’re interested in inviting me to be part of your parenting journey, please contact me.

I’m passionate about personal autonomy and informed decision making, and as such I’m respectful of parents’ values and wishes. I advocate for rest and recovery in the postpartum period and I do my best to balance offering rest with “working myself out of a job” by building your parenting confidence. Above all, I’m driven by a desire to improve new parents’ mental health and well-being, which I also believe is best for babies.

I’m a lifelong Californian - raised in Sacramento and a UCLA alumna, I have lived in the outer East Bay for 25 years. I’m the proud mama of three kids, two of whom are now adults. I share my home with my husband, my teenager, and my three cats. My hobbies include embroidery and fostering pets awaiting adoption with a local animal rescue.
